Brugmansia Maya :D Ü :D
Excitement on the Prairies :)
Looks like a winner! I do not see the bud being variegated. Is it in real life? Maybe the first is just getting used to being alive before it gets all dressed up. LOL
Guess not :(.......no variegation on the bud yet.
edited to say tho that the leaves are variegated cream, green and blue geen.

My Brug. Miners Clain has varigated buds. I was so surprised when I saw them.
Sure is. I found a bud on MM as I was bringing it inside to protect from the freeze, but it isn't that cute. LOL!
I love the one you gave me Shirley,Maya is a Fav here.
Here too, Bob. She never fails to put on a show. Well, most of the time anyway. LOL!
Pam is that this years from Keons or last? Last years was Maya with the striped pods. I never looked close enough at the ones they have this year.
Hope it is something new!!!! WOOHOO!
Jerodsmom thank you for posting a pic of the variegated bud. :) I've grown Peaches and Cream too and never looked that close at their buds (just noted that they had one and stopped watching too closely....they seem to take forever if watched ;).
It's from last year Joelle....I did pick up one this year as well but I think they are the same. The ones there seem to be below the Y cuttings (like the one I got last year). DH kept this as a surprise for me (the brugs are all in the basement and I don't go down there........SPIDERS :b ). He took a cutting and rooted it for me!!!! :D Ü :D

jerodsmom, that is the cutest bud I've ever seen!!!!!!! Just adorable, WOW!
Lucky you Pat for having a Miner's Claim.
I can't believe that I hadn't even noticed last year that the buds were varigated.
O good he has a green thumb!!!! Did he root it in water or a medium? Rooting hormone? Thanks. Joelle
Hi Joelle :)......he used the starting hormone (professional I think....it's colored pink) that I was given by the people that owned Southland Growers (the exotic plant greenhouse that closed). He also used water from our fish tank.

Thanks for the info- I gotta give it a whirl!!! Lets get him a Dave's membership too!!
Boy, can you believe this weather? I hope you don't have a lot of damage tonight Bob. Mine are all under cover. I just couldn't stand the thoughts of them getting too cold tonight. I heard it is going to be worse than last night. Lots of warnings coming in from the weather station.
Looks like it's going to be another crazy weather year. I hope your plants will be okay, Root.
LOL........trust me Joelle DH isn't that in love with plants, however he does like to shine on occassion. ;)
Root I hope you are going to be pulling some of your tropical treasures in tonight!!!!!!!!! Your Maya is a BEAUTY!
Root, is it going to be a long freeze? If so, maybe a soft cloth would save her. Does Maya have striped buds?? Your Maya is way too beautiful to freeze!!!
Sherry, she made it through ok,yes her buds are stripped.
Glad to hear Maya made it, Root. She's a beautiful Brug.
Whew!! Now you will have to protect them from the heat wave coming through. LOL!
I knew you wouldn't let her freeze - Brugie is right, next thing you know, she'll be in danger of scorching...my Maya is a slow poke, but if she will have striped buds, I will be one happy Arky...
I have three maya's..two have had several flushes...all had stripped buds,, they blended right in with the folage. A little slow growind but nice bloom producer.
