Hoyas in the house

Fellsmere, FL(Zone 9b)

I am wondering how well hoyas would do growing in my house. Since I live in Florida we use our air-condition all during the summer months. I just got a beautiful bella from Aloha Hoyas and would like to bring it in the house. Just wondered if since the windows would be closed, they wouldn't be getting any air circulation if this would cause a problem?

Marilyn, none of my hoyas have ever been outside - last count 22. They have forced air heating all winter, and forced air conditioning in the heat of summer. When the heat or A/C aren't on, the furnace fan is always going. Your hoyas will be fine. Just don't let them dry out completely and give them bright light, but filted sunshine. I have mine in a few feet back from a south facing window with larger plants in between to filter the sun. Good luck with your bella!

Hey Marilyn...H. bella is one of those hoyas that will tolerate cooler temps... If you have a temp control and turn the AC down at night...that would be a good time to water. Just don't put her where the AC blasts the cold air on her...she should be fine...
