I'm having a hard time keeping my smokes bush alive. I got one 3 years ago. Thought it was dead last year so bought another one. One half of the older one came back. Now this year they both look dead. Doeas anyone know how to take GOOD care of one?

We had one for years and never did anything to it at all.
Cut it down a few years ago to make way for more roses.

I have 3 here in the garden and so far 2 have grown wonderfully and have puffy plumes. the other is still growing-I dont do a darn thing to them.. did you roundup it? lol
We planted 2 of them, this spring will be their 3rd year. They have doubled in size
I have fertilized the area they are in with Flowertone by Espoma for other plants
but they may like it.
