I don't know if there is any connection to artcons' thread, but last night I saw my first shooting star of the year and today I have seen my first Hummingbird Hawkmoth and my first Scarce Swallowtail butterfly.
It's HOT here - I'm not used to this - 33C in the shade!

I guess that happens. I usually see something the one time I don't bring the camera. If I go get the camera, then I scare off my visitors... I need a tiny digital camera that I can hang around my neck. I'll look forward to future pics tho. :)
