Looks pretty. What kinds of plants are you intrested in trading? I have a few heirloom trumpet lilies that are rooted and growing bulblets. I don't know exactly the variety though. Something old probably from the early 1900's. I have many herbs, hostas, ginger lilies, ground ginger, day lilies, false dragon head, yarrow, dianthus, artemesia, shasta daisies, toad lily, arum, iris. What kinds of things do you like?

herbs,-what kind of herbs??? hostas-what kind of hostas??, ginger lilies, ground ginger what is this and what is it used for???, day lilies-what kind?, arum, what kind

Herbs are your basic spearmint, peppermint, catnip, oregano, pineapple sage, lemon balm, gernan thyme. Nothing too exotic. Hostas include Patriot, Halcion, Blue Cadette, Narrow Leaf, Undulata, Gold Tiarra, Sum and Substance, Albo Picta as well as some unknow very old types. Ginger lilies grow tall and have a beautiful smelling white flower. They will not be hardy in your area. Mine are an unknown very old variety, circa lat 1800's. Ground ginger I think is actually a native plant. Some people call them Little Brown Jugs. They grow low to the ground and have heart shaped mottled leaves with small brown flowers under the leaves sitting on the ground that resemble jugs. They smell of ginger but I don't know if people actually use it for that. The genus of mine is Asarum but I don't know the species. It has also been here a long time. Probably not hardy in zone 4. Arum, don't know what kind. Also very old. I got it as a gift from the garden of a sweet old lady in SC. Probably not hardy for you either. Probably your best bets are hosta, herbs, or day lily. By the way, I have 2 kinds of day lily, the old antique orange, or a beautiful antique double apricot. Can you tell that I live in an old historic home with very old historic gardens? That is why I don't know that actual variety of some things. They have just been here forever.

I am sending your hosta tomorrow. In the address echange there is no house number in the street address. Will it get there? If not, please e mail me the number.
Have fun with the new hosta and thanks for the lily.
Robin (we have the same name!)
