Hardy Geranium

This seedling has started to look a little different from all the others.

Sure would be nice if it was all going to stay like this, but so far only one leaf is variegated and I doubt if it's stable enough to affect the whole plant.

It's very pretty echoes......did you do the cross?

echoes,
can't wait to see a picture of the whole plant,
what colour are the flowers going to be?

It is very pretty, Brenda. I like how there are several different shades going on there. Even if it ends up being only one leaf, it's quite distinctive. That would be a good photo for the PF. :-)

Oh, I like that very much, echoes! Maybe it will continue, let's hope, against hope. Lovely surprise.

It's just a G. viscosissimum seedling. Got the seeds in a trade, so don't know if they could have crossed with something. Would sure be nice if it were to stay like that, but I really don't have my hopes up. I'm not even sure if I will like this kind of geranium in the border.

Adding - Shannon, this plant is already in the plantfiles, with several pictures. Considering I'm not positive about the lineage of these, I think I'll leave well enough alone.

Wilma, I expect the flowers will be a rather uninteresting violet-mauve shade. You are welcome to try one if you like.

echoes,
guess you won't know till it is planted in the ground, and then you just might like it for your border..

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, echoes. I luv anything variegated. When it blooms it should look gorgeous.
