Another of my finds today when I went nursery hopping. A pitcher plant with a bloom.
Pitcher plant with bloom
You find the neatest plants Lisa!
Great color and shape.
WOW, that is just beautiful! I want to go shopping with you!!!
Have you seen the ones with white at the top, laced with maroon veins and a maroon bloom. Gorgeous! They grow wild around here, the green ones too. There are a couple of places nearby that have large colonies of these growing. I have one little clump.
Gingerlily, I've seen that one, it's my favorite.
Very pretty.
Hey, I think this is what one of the neighbors was describing when they saw my pitcher plant hanging in its pot off the side of the date palm. Mine look like little pitchers (without the handle) with an open lid. They said there is a kind (like you have) that grows up out of the ground in Florida. Thanks for sharing your photo. A nice little "stand" of pitchers! Would love to go rootin' around (in the swamp?) and find one of these... :)
OH WOW! That is so beautiful!
Wow that is beautiful, I've been wanting one but cant cough up the dough. Looks like you had good luck shopping ! :)
It would be so nice to live in Florida or around Houston area, you can find some of the neatest plants. It is a beautiful plant, and Lisa you are a great little shopper. Keep up the good work of buying the neat ones and for posting them.
Linda
Another beautiful variety!
Wowser!!!! Very nice!!
Is this Pitcher plant in the Lily Family?
No, it is a Sarraceniaceae and is carnivorous.
