This is the first time Silver Dawn, which is a double, has bloomed for me. The second flower has petal leaves like culebra. Waiting to see if it is a fluke because of the weather or if it will remain that way.

She is lovely Barb
i had to look at her again! i just want to paint her!
Gosh, she does look pretty, Barb. I'm glad she finally bloomed for you.
this is not my hybrid. It is a European hybrid.
Very pretty, Barb. Love the tendrils on this one! I have a few plants that shred the flowers when it's really hot, but not any other time. Is it that hot there already?
Ronna-no it is not hot, just the oppisite. Today is the first warm day we have had in a while. Been in the 60's in the day and 40-50's night.
hibiscus-it is very fragrant.
it is so beautiful...
I am so glad you have some Euros Barb. We need all the new blood we can get. This one is very pretty!
Very pretty, Bward. I'm glad to hear it smells great, too.
she is beautifull, never heard of this one
Nice .... really nice. Do you have a photo of the second flower Barb?
Simply gorgeous!
:) Donna
WaterlooLily, I am not sure what you mean. The photo was taken looking up into the flower, which shows the second flower-the second flower is shredded. Does that make sense?
Ahhhhhh so it's like the Shredded white then...right?
Only the second flower is shredded-The top flower is like a normal flower.
Ok I took a look again...I see what you mean...I can see that now. Wow, how interesting this is. You may have something entirely different from all the rest Bward. It's a beautiful brug, I love it and the name of it also :)
Julie
Oh WOW Barb. Sometimes you have to spell things out for a few of us. I see it now. How odd.
Does it have a wonderful smell? It is very different. Lucky you to have a double brug.
:) Donna
LOL yep...some of us are SEE- Nile in our old age hehehe *winks* OR blind ahem! Anyhow, I love the look Barb :)
Julie
It's soooooo pretty! No wonder everyone here gets carried away with Brugs. You just can't stop with one. Just when you think your garden is complete someone posts a picture of one you don't have, and viola you rethink your whole garden plan. Hmmm, Do we really need that swimming pool anymore? Think of it filled with good dirt and planted....... :-)
