Silver Dawn

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

This is the first time Silver Dawn, which is a double, has bloomed for me. The second flower has petal leaves like culebra. Waiting to see if it is a fluke because of the weather or if it will remain that way.

this is not my hybrid. It is a European hybrid.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Very pretty, Barb. Love the tendrils on this one! I have a few plants that shred the flowers when it's really hot, but not any other time. Is it that hot there already?

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Ronna-no it is not hot, just the oppisite. Today is the first warm day we have had in a while. Been in the 60's in the day and 40-50's night.
hibiscus-it is very fragrant.

WaterlooLily, I am not sure what you mean. The photo was taken looking up into the flower, which shows the second flower-the second flower is shredded. Does that make sense?

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Ahhhhhh so it's like the Shredded white then...right?

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Only the second flower is shredded-The top flower is like a normal flower.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Ok I took a look again...I see what you mean...I can see that now. Wow, how interesting this is. You may have something entirely different from all the rest Bward. It's a beautiful brug, I love it and the name of it also :)

It's soooooo pretty! No wonder everyone here gets carried away with Brugs. You just can't stop with one. Just when you think your garden is complete someone posts a picture of one you don't have, and viola you rethink your whole garden plan. Hmmm, Do we really need that swimming pool anymore? Think of it filled with good dirt and planted....... :-)
