I found a plant labeled "tibouchina compacta" today. It had 1 single pink flower on it!! I didnt know they came in pink, lol.
I cant seem to find anything on the web about it. Would i treat it like the others? Full sun?
thanks
jen
Tibouchina
I have heard of a pink Tibouchina called Rosea. Here is a website about it. Maybe it will be the same for your pink one.

I didn't know that it came in pink. I guess I should do some research.
I am trying a couple, tibouchina heteromalla, which has clusters of purple blooms rather than singles.
Thanks for the link....it only had one single flower that i didnt get a pic of quick enough. I read that it likes acidic soil and lots of fertilizer so i'll start feeding it heavy and will post pics when it blooms again.
I've looked all over for a pic on the web and can't find it. Must be a newer introduction and not very common yet.
what a find, eh?
liz, i think i got the heteromalla this past fall, but i havent seen it bloom so i'm not sure, the leaves do look a little different than the one i have known as the princess flower
