Miniature Rose 'Sunrise Cupido'

'Sunrise Cupido' has a bright 2-tone bloom that looks like it is on fire in morning sunlight.

I agree, it looks like glowing embers or flames more than a sunrise. What colors do you have nearby?

I have purple viola in the same type of container next to it, purple viola in a low elongated container in front of it and society garlic blooming lavender behind it. The 'Sun Star' is blooming in the front and to the side in a smaller container.

The pomegranate tree in the background has huge double orange blooms on it so it nakes a nice backdrop. Thanks for your commnents.

Ha, I almost said the only color I know that really complements orange is purple!
A pomegranate tree, how exotic. My DH has always dreamed of going to Egypt...(they do have pomegranates there, don't they?). I think pictures of date palms along the Nile, silhouetted at sunset with the pyramids in the background, are among the prettiest I've ever seen. Oh well, I digress!

I think they do have pomegranate trees in Egypt. This tree was supposed to be a dwarf reaching a height of only 4 feet. Was I upset when it turned out to be a full size one which blocks the sunlight. My crepe myrtles along the front sidewalk were supposed to grow to only 10 feet and are huge. I am scared to buy anything marked "dwarf" now because a lot of the time the plant has been given a growth hormone to keep it small. It eventually wears off and the plant grows to full size. I digress too.

Yes, I had 'dwarf' fruit trees that are now all gone bye-bye because they quickly grew to unmanageble size. One cannot be too wary.
