15 in bloom today

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Having no camera is a big handicap for me and have to depend on my ability to describe in words. 15 white brugs are in bloom on a single plant today and it is a sight to behold. I asked my friend who loves flowers to visit my house this morning even though I was away in office. He would have come and gone as they wilt in the summer heat by evening. It is a real sight today.

It must be beautiful with all those blooms Dinu. I bet your friend will be amazed when he sees them.

I am with you Brugie, I would just like to have one since I have never seen a "real life" one, just all the beautiful pics here. I am patiently (impatiently) waiting....LOL

15 was a 'guess' in a hurry, I counted this morning and there were 17! But, one branch that caried 6 flowers had broken off in the last evening's rain, though not heavy. Perhaps the stiff breeze had broken it. It is a loss, but I think it will make way for newer branches. Does it? And can I use this broken branch for growing another plant? I understand it roots from cuttings also. In that case, can someone guide me how to go about it?

I don't know if my friend visited home. I did not inquire as I came to know that his son's 10th grade results were out y'day and that the poor chap has got marks much less than his expected capability. They seemed tense when my DW called the boy's mother. I did not want to raise the brug issue.

Today I scored 24 flat! Picture is in another thread posted y'day.

Dinu, cut the broken piece into smaller pieces, removing most of the leaves and flowers. Stick them deep into pots of damp soil and put them in the shade to root. You will have plants to share in a few weeks.

Now that broken piece has dried up, I will have to prune my plant for more cuttings. But does anytime suit pruning or should I leave it like that for a few more months?
