Holly has heartworm

From Georgia she tested negative. Today positive. She got here in Jan. No chance of getting it here. 2 nights at the vet, 30 days crate/leash control, $460 vet bill. That's her future. She is so exuberant, I will hate to confine her. The medicine breaks up the worms and can cause embolisms if she gets wound up. The vet said they could have taken a blood sample from a hind leg which would not show the microfillaria in her front at early onset. I love this little girl. This is going to suck. Frank
