Are those baby grasshoppers? I love living things, but you need to kill them immediately if you want to have a garden left. They eat huge quantities and will devour all that you have.

You're right. I was back in mid-July and they had flourished like the plague. Our landscaper got them in time on m y property. These are photos of my neighbor's figs. He was away.

Oh my, Brad! Those are huge! They can do some serious damage. I'm glad your landscaper got them before they got to your TW!

They didn't bother the plumeria -- except, originally, when they spawned. But you should see the pruning job they did on the hibiscus. My figs were spared, as was the citrus.

They are vaguely around each year. I shoot them with BB's in the fall.
