Fav Brugie Soil Recipes?

Modesto, CA(Zone 8b)

Hi Brug Mavens!

The Brug I received in trade is ready for a larger pot and I am interested in what your favorite soil recipes are. I want to do this right! Another question.....would my brug like the gross water taken from my freshwater aquarium when I clean it? Thanks ahead of time for your input to help keep my brug happy!

Karen lol, I love that! Brug Mavens!!! That is too cute hehehe

Well I do know they love love love fish emulsion lol this I know...especially my brugs and well....shoot all of my plants do!

I use the following:

Mushroom compost (sometimes thats all I use)
Vermiculite
Black Cow manure 100%
lime
worm castings
and Regular potting soil
Sand
Epsom Salt

What are the approximate percentages of those ingredients? I have an amendment that is made up of:

"A blend of composted fir bark and forest humus fortified with
15% chicken manure, worm castings, bat guano and kelp
meal. pH balanced with dolomite and oyster shell lime. An all
purpose pre-fertilized planting and garden soil amendment.
Excels as a nutrient rich top dressing and mulch."

Could I use some of that mixed with mushroom compost, potting soil, cactus mix and vermiculite?

How often do you feed a brug? His leaves are a taddy yellow, so maybe he needs something.....even though I gave him some fish emulsion water about 3 weeks ago?
