Today was such a gorgeous day here in the Beautiful BC Interior. We got to 26 C. The same predicted for tomorrow. It is good for us down here. We have to e-a-s-e into the 30+ temps that will be upon us in the coming weeks. I took the doggie and my digi and went for a walk through the neighborhood looking for neat pictures of trees. Hope you enjoy what I found.
First up...Star Magnolia.
Tree Photos

Looking GORGEOUS Donna!! Spring has really sprung in your neck of the woods.
Great pics, Donna. Thanks for taking and posting them!
I can never get enough of those star magnolias - but didn't realize, until Ingrid's post above, that they might actually grow here. Thanks Ingrid!
Great pictures Donna. I love magnolias. We have four in our yard.
Thanks Pam, Ingrid, Shannon and Sandy. Yes, I love Magnolias as well. It encourages me when I see all the neighbors, big and blooming right now. I can't wait fro my "baby" magnolia to bloom again next year. They have quite a few varieties at the nursery this spring and for a lot cheaper than last year. I can get a 5 footer for $19.95. May have to do that. But my Victoria Magnolia will always be special. Having to be cut up and squished in a suitcase for a day, and still she looks happy in my front flower bed. :D
Lovely to see Donna,
one question, does your bing cherry tree bear fruit? Are bings the ones that get really burgandy in colour? I just gorge myself on those, trying to get a years supply in the few weeks they are out. They are my fav., after raspberries.
Thanks for the great pictures Donna
those trees are sure pretty,,
soon my apple and apricot tree, and mini lilac will be in bloom..
Wilma
Oh yes, Linda. Bing Cherry trees bear lots of lushous big dark red cherries, just like you buy at the supermarket. I love 'em too, but as you mentioned, you have to be careful about the quantity consumed in one sitting. Had a rather bad experience a few years back in Osoyoos after I overdosed on them. :(
My Plum, Apples, and Pear trees in my front yard are all starting to blossom as well. I'll take more pictures of them in their finery later on.
Thanks Wilma. I have two Lilacs that are all leafed out and are heavy with big bunches of buds. Won't be long for mine either. (Photo opp!) I love Lilacs! Make sure and post some photos of yours too, Wilma. :)
