I took these photos this evening at Judy's. She's the woman who I got the epi cuttings from for your father. Here's some shots of hers
Lilypon, some epi's for you
Hmmm, seems the last one is a repeat, oh well.
Oh, gosh, those are lovely. I particularly like the pinks. Thanks for sharing Linda.

Oh they are gorgeous Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dad will be tickled pink to see what his will look like! Ü He's in the middle of testing now so this will be a wonderful treat!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! Please thank Judy again for me!! :)
Ingrid those are pictures of Epiphylliums: http://davesgarden.com/pf/search.php?search_text=Epiphyllum The plant looks somewhat similar to a Christmas/Easter Cactus but with very long leaves (looks really ugly when it's not blooming ;).
Oh wow.....the pink is gorgeous. I have a red one that is very pretty. I wonder if she would like to do a trade?
:) Donna
Here's a thread in the Cactus and Succulent forum that I've been watching for a while: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/500483/ Linda you should post Judy's pictures there too (her plants in full bloom are spectacular). Ü

Lilypon
Thanks Pam, I think I have a leave of that which was given to me but never grown enough to see a bloom on it.
They can take a looooooooooooong time to bloom Ingrid (cool conditions in early spring and fertilizer will help). Very few people are as lucky as Linda's friend Judy or Happenstance (with the plant loaded).......I think the cool coast spring really helps. I've got my two out in the porch right now and am crossing fingers and toes!

In this thread Candy (Happenstance) gives really good advice for growing Epiphylliums: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/426034/
Wow, those pink epi flowers are gorgeous Linda. I have two red ones that are blooming at the moment too. However, neither plant gets anywhere near that number of flowers. That's awesome. Rosemary, is that what your pink one is like?

I just got off the phone with Judy, and she says thanks for the lovely comments. And YES, she'd love to trade. email me and I'll send you her email and you can talk to her directly about trading.
You should see her garden, too bad I didn't take pics of it yesterday. She spends hours in it. in the front, there's a whole area of fawn lilies, lots of gardens with so many different kinds of tulips, that the deer love! She's got different magnolia trees, and lots of other plants. In the back yard, it's a sloped yard with some Gary Oaks, rocky ledges that have gardens in them, and it's got a wonderful feel to it.
I'm about to run errands, then will probably go past their place, so may have some picutres for you.
Linda
