Beautiful plants. Are you there long enough to smell the blooms at night?
Should be out of this world.

Corte Madera, CA

oh, yes, i got to enjoy them in the evenings. i didn't know what it was at first. the scent lured me to come outside. we stayed at the resort for a whole week, and i was more interested with the brugs than anything else.

i was just looking at gretchen's brug heaven, and wow, oh, wow.

Oh what a fabulous vacation! Thank you! Its just a little country place where we train horses and I have fun in my garden. You will certainly love yours when they bloom!

How nice to be able to enjoy all those Brugs while on vacation.
There's sure a bunch of them there.

Your photo of the single brug flower is...well, incredible! What a challenge to paint it...I haven't painted in two years...and that photo might have done the trick. Where are my paints?

Awwww, thanks Carol. That's so sweet of you to say that. I hope you find those paints, and let's have a paint out. I have barely started my watercolor journey. Learning to garden is quite an inspiration.

Snowhermit, to find those brugs there was such a treat. It gave me a taste of what is to come - - - coming home welcomed by the sweet scent of brugmansias. If I can grow them!

Gretchen, Dick (Strever) sent me seeds. I'm starting some tonight.

That is a nice looking border of brugs. I know I would have enjoyed it. Definitely a vacation to remember when brugs are involved. LOL! Good luck with the seeds. Do you have a brug that will bloom this summer? I hope so. It would be so long to wait for the seedlings to bloom.

Corte Madera, CA

shirley, the biggest brugs i have are only about 12" tall. leaves are about 7" long and 4" wide. i return home from a weekend trip, and one plant's leaves are all eaten up. ack!

i'm going to read up again on brug care.

Watch for slugs and caterpillars. They have big appetites.
