Alocasia Blooming

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I never realized they bloomed. I have never had one to bloom before. It isn't a beautiful bloom but a bloom none the less.

Fantastic, save your pollen for your next bloom!

HOW how how

Which type of Alocasia is that? Yes, they do bloom. One of my "African Mask" xAmazonicas bloomed twice this year. However, it seemed to go dormant after the last bloom. Is dormancy a normal period with Alocasias?

I have no idea if they go dormant. It looks like a Alocasia "Frydek" .

Try tipping the bloom over an envelope an lightly tap it,see if there is pollen.
