Has anyone ordered from this company before, and what do you think about the hoya's they have listed as new sp.

Asiatica Nursery
I have a friend who has ordered from them. The hoyas they received were small for the price and shipping charges are extremely expensive.

I have a friend who has ordered non-hoya plants (rare - new to the market tropicals) and were extrememley satisfied, although they agreed it was expensive. He didn't mind as Asiatica was the *only* nursery offering the plants he ordered.
If the hoyas are available elsewhere, I wouldn't order from them, but if they truly are extremely rare hoyas, that no one else has available, you might be pleased.
I guess what I am wondering is if some of these new one's and sp. hoya's they have are actually known by another name, or are they really new finds.
I just spent a few minutes looking over the site.... I'd be really leary of these
'new' finds.
Just because they are new to Thong in Thailand & this nursery doesn't mean they are new to the trade. One they have listed as Hoya sp.24 Nakorn Sri Thumarat looks an awful lot like Hoya macrophylla to me (not a very healthy one at that).
The other thing I noticed was there's no mention of what sized plants they send with the exeption of one, it says something like; small plant, well rooted.
Also notice most of the new finds haven't bloomed yet, I'd say that's a red flag.
Thanks Leslie for you input. I did e-mail them and asked about the size and they said 1 yr. old rooted cuttings. Well, I know some cuttings don't grow all that fast.
I have been cautioned about buying hoyas that have come out of Thailand. Also, just because it comes from Thailand doesn't mean the names are correct - I know for a fact that many of them are not. Considering all of that...I think their prices are expensive.

My Brother lives in Thailand and last year he hooked up with Thong in Thailand and I imported several plants from him. Although I did receive some nice cuttings, most of them were mislabeld and the prices were exorbedent. Thong does quite a bit of collecting and often sends me pictures of his new finds and I do know he is working really hard on obtaining correct ID's for his plants.

Thank you all for you input.
