Frederik Meijer Botanical Gardens

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

Have you been there yet? They are celebrating their 10th anniversary.
Always something of interest there. Art exhibits (I LOVED Dale Chihulys art exhibit), gardening classes, world class sculptures and a variety of indoor and outdoor plants and gardens. For those of you visiting from outside the west Michigan area it is located near a lot of malls and restaurants making for a great day trip.
Heres a link to their website: http://www.meijergardens.org/

I love that place! That's the day I volunteer at our plant sale in Battle Creek though. Like I need any more plants! The koi pond is my favorite. The giant indoor bamboo too.

I might as well add a nice garden in my neck of the woods. http://www.dowgardens.org/

Dow Gardens has lots of great manicured paths and trails. Most are paved so you can take a stroller or wheelchair. And I would sugest making an appointment to have a tour of the Alden B Dow House. He was an architect largely inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright.

If ya need directions or have questions, jsut ask me. I am there a lot. :)
