If I think about it after dinner, I'll come back out and take another pic to see how it has progressed.

Epiphyllums
Nice pair!
I never saw a red night blooming Epi before. Would you have a name for that one? (And for the white one too?)
Beautiful pair!
My Epi is putting on buds right now, too.
It won't be spectacular because our 100 year snow "frosted" it pretty badly but IT DID LIVE...lol
I remember standing at the door & crying because I had forgot to bring it in.... glad that's history.:)
Beautiful blooms you have there.

Beautiful flowers Ron and Clare.
Beautiful Epi's Ron.
Beautiful - I've never seen any of mine bloom yet. Can't wait!
They're all gorgeous
I have a few but no idea what they are
They've never bloomed
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kaleem
Wow,what a bloom!
How is it that they are blooming now? Mine are usually in August and start in the MIDDLE of this nite, so I usually miss them. But if I get out early before the sun hits them they are beautiful.
Yours are great.
Hap
Thanks, everyone.
Hap, I think most day-blooming ones bloom in the spring, but the white night-blooming ones can and do bloom all year long sporatically.
thanks
Ron,
do you have a name for the red one please?
I don't have a name for it. It was given a handful of cuttings years ago and I just put them in some pots. They now reside in two huge pots. I think it is just coincidental that both the white and this coral colored one bloomed at the same time, but there are some buds on other parts too.
Like I said earlier, there is a really, really deep red with magenta highligts in one of these two pots that blooms in the fall. Actually it starts blooming in September and keeps it up until December. It is slightly smaller than these two. Also it holds its bloom nicely for about five days or so.
Here is a pic of it. It is such a brilliant red that even the camera can't get it properly. This was taken about a year and a half ago. I don't have the name of it either. Like I said, I was given about five cuttings over 15 years ago, and this is the result.

Thanks for the info. The Fall blooming one is very pretty too.
I was just curious - the red flowering Epi in your "twin flowering" pics behaves the same as a white night-flowering Epi, opening in the evening and drooping in the morning? Why would a night-flowering Epi be red? Does it have a strong scent? I am just wondering about what pollinator would be attracted to that one/can see it??
This one was a nice surprise. It stayed in the cool greenhouse all winter, hardly got water, and never fertilized. Last week I pulled it out and it had buds that started opening tonight. No fragrance though, my white one perfumes the air when it blooms.
Ron & Claire, your blooms are stunning. Do the pink and red have a fragrance?

I have the white one that gets the 12" blooms. Smells like Heaven. If anyone wants to trade after theirs quits blooming. I would love to have some colored epis.
Blessings,
Sandy ^8^
Shadowgirl, that pink is lovely. My peach had only a very soft slight fragrance.
Sandy, I hope you get my package today! LMK!
Yours is pretty to Loretta. Only one I really have to trade is my red one. I've just started to get a couple of babies from other trades. I also luv Ron's & Clare's.
