Well folks - neither made it. I had great hopes, but the little one went right away and the bigger one lost all its leaves, but had small nubbies (yahoo) But alas, it turned to mush. I kept trimming the mush away, but in the end, nothing could save it. Changed the water daily and talked to it - encouraging it to grow. Honestly, I really tried my best and feel like such a failure!! If any of you who have success would share with me when yours gets bigger, I would be most grateful!! (and humble...)
maya in Michigan - sad story
You have my sympathy, I fear that I will soon join you. One bit the dust early and the other one that is in soil is mushy on the outside. Dont feel bad, I've almost come to the conclusion that I may not really want this one ! If mine doesnt mush out I will share with you, just remind me. :)
charlotte
ah sorry feel like its me though had none.. .. may the rest in peace..
Sarv, I'm sorry for your loss too, wish I had one to share with you and Charlotte.
I'm so sorry. I know how you feel, I lost several I tried to root this winter. Maybe it got chilled during the shipping and that is why it rotted. You just can't trust that dang Post Office to keep them comfy.
Judy
I want to write something inspired but at a loss for words. Know that I feel bad for you, though, sarv.
Well, that pegs the suck meter!
With multiple sprouts off mine, I'll eventually be able to start another and will keep you in mind.
I'll second that "suck meter", Blaine! When mine get bigger I will be thrilled to share!
Well that's a good thing...cos' I believe the smaller cuttings some of us received didn't make it just because they had to fight harder to stay alive :(...
I'm sorry you lost your Maya Sarv48, I am on my last cutting also and it looks nothing to compare to the others I've seen if that's any consolation to you. It may or may not make it either. But hey! We tried with what we had to work with right?
Regards
Julie
