This is another first time bloomer for me. It just started opening up overnight.

Patricia that's nice! You must have some happy hoyas:-).

Hi, Patricia...great bloom. Y'know? Looks a bit like the H. cv. Sunrise...can you shoot the leaves? or H. obscura? The cv. is a cross between H. lacunosa and H. obscura.

hmmmm I will have to compare it with the picture I took of my cv. sunrise

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Carol, you are absolutely right. I had them hanging at opposite ends of the greenhouse so I hadn't looked at them side by side. Not only do I have two of the same but I also have one labeled Lacunosa x obscura which looks exactly the same.

Funny how that happens, sometimes, isn't it? That H. cv. Sunrise is one of my very favoritest hoyas in of all....man...how it blooms and blooms and blooms!!!

My greenhouse is so crowded, it is a wonder I can find anything in there.

Sorry to butt into your thread Patricia but I'm hoping someone can give me a link to a picture of H. cv. Sunrise and her blooms.

Top of the page, Lilypon.

LOL......sorry Carol I missed the name change. ;)

What a sweet bloom, Patrica! If H cv. sunrise blooms half as well as H. lacunosa, it will quickly become a favorite of mine!

Mel, it seems to bloom easily. I got this one from Carol this past Fall and it has bloomed twice for me so far.

I just checked my cv Sunrise and mine has a peduncle on it! I call this one the "happy" hoya. It just grows and grows and grows.

...AND I find it isn't as prone to mealies as the H. lacunosa.

Well that is definately a plus
