Hybrid Mayapple, Asian Mayapple 'Kaleidoscope'
Podophyllum

This is the second year for this plant, it's really getting a lot of color to it now. I just love it!!! So wild looking, and the leaves are much bigger this year too.

Spur is my dear friend and she is 'just NOT another pretty face' . She certainly can grow some outrageous 'out there plants'. She treats plants, animals and friends with TRUE TLC. Wait until you see her bananna plants;red and green!!!! They are not quite doing their 'spring thing' yet as our nights remain pretty chilly yet. Great pic,Spur! Miss Lucy

Thank you everyone. It is one of the Coolest plants. I have know idea where you can get seeds in fact I doubt that you can. My sister got if for me at a nursery in WA. I first saw about 4 years ago on TV, and it has only been avalible the last 3 years I think. It comes form Terra Nova nursery, they develop new plants like this, and I think they do them all from tissue culture. The one vender on here that has it for sale, The Big Dipper, is a great nursery. I have only been to their place I haven't ever done mail order, but I'm sure they are great. Thank you so much for your interest. Please feel free to ask more questions about it.

My kaleidoscope is starting the 3rd spring but does not look anywhere near as nice as yours...One plant has 1 leaf and the other 2 leaves... but doesn't seem to grow... I have it under trees with hostas and ferns.... What should I do?
