HI, what kind of bamboo-is it clumping? I have some Jack-in-the Pulpit that I can check on digging-we are breaking dormancy in the shade beds now.
I also have pale pink astilbe, violets- (common, pale periwinkle and the res-probably Royal Robe), striped grass for sun, water iris-lots of other stuff-sepending on where you need to plant it.
Cannot use running bamboo-neighbors gardens are too close.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Can the bamboo be grown in container of water? I don't know anything about bambo except I want some. I could trade night blooming jasmine cutting?

LMK

Marcia- What I have is the running kind,,,

Sandy- I have the kind that grows outside,, it is not the lucky bamboo that you see in water in peoples houses

Mitch- can you tell me some of the plants you have?

Vicki

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Yes that is what I meant, the outside kind. Sorry.

I don't know anything about bambo that grows outside. Can it be contained in a 30 gal pot with out holes in dirt or water. This way it doesn't become so invasive? I want to have some bambo put my yard is small.

Blessings,
Sandy

The kind I have gets about 10-15 ft tall and spreads rapidly.. I am not sure if it can be grown in a bucket or not...never tried it. You might want to ask around and see what others have to say. ok.

I can send you several cuttings of the bamboo just cut them at a node on a slant and stick them in the soil and they should grow just fine. Just keep them waterd but not soaked.
How many of the jasmine can you send ?
