Good photos but I think your plant in the images is L. dentata.

L. multifida has divided foliage and no bracts on the top of the flower heads where as L. dentata has the floral bracts and linear leaves with scalloped margins.

The images on google are confused with both species being shown as L. multifida but I've grown both species and L. multifida is quite distinct from L. dentata

Thanks Baa, you're correct.
Go ahead and move the images to the L. dendata page.

Just curious about several other images of my own, that I've requested to be moved many months ago.
I haven't recieved any emails/d-mails that any of my other reports have been addressed in several months.

Xenomorf, I show there are still about 6 or 7 error reports that I have not yet completed and am still working on.

Your other (480-plus) error reports have been completed, with the most recent one closed with a reply to you in mid-March. (I replied to almost all of those reports - but not the duplicate reports as there didn't seem to be a reason to reply to those.)

OK, Terry, I'll check my email.
As soon as those last 6 or 7 reports are finished, I have some more I've been saving up on my desktop for several months or a year. Some are more important than others. Should I send in the reports little by little? (ie., a couple each day?)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Yes, that would be fine. A few pointers, though:

a) Combine all reports for the same plant into one report whenever possible. (It's very confusing and time-consuming to receive multiple reports for various corrections within the same entry.)

b) Report one entry per plant (it's also very confusing to deal with dozens of errors for dozens of plants, all reported within one entry.)

c) Any corrections to your own entries' basionym, cultivar or common name should be made yourself.

d) Any misplaced photos submitted by someone else should be handled by you submitting a (tactful) note to the accompanying PlantFiles thread. If the submitter agrees with your assessment, they can then contact us to have the photo moved. (Bear in mind that a book's description or another photo you found may not prove sufficient evidence to convince the submitter that their photo is wrongly identified.)

e) If you are submitting a correction report for a synonym, detail, or photo, please be sure your report is as final as possible the first time. This willl help us avoid repeated reports for the same plant, where we wind up moving the same photo or changing the synonyms more than once.

Finally, please also bear in mind that we have just three editors (including myself.) None of us can devote full time to PlantFiles editing, which entails maintaining and correcting 125,000+ entries. There are more than 12,000 contributors to PlantFiles, and they (or any of the other 200,000+ members or 750,000 average monthly visitors) can - and may - report an error.

While we strive to keep PlantFiles as accurate as possible, we simply don't have the resources to dedicate to a single group of plants, or to one user's reports. Please be sure to prioritize your error reports according to those you believe are most important. We can then be sure those are addressed, and the less important "tweaks" can take a lower priority.

Thanks!
Terry

OK Terry, sounds good. Those guidlines are basically what I've had in mind.
One other thing that I would like to mention... I don't go on a special quest 'looking' for errors, the reports that I submit are of when I 'run into' an error when I'm working in the PlantFiles.
Thanks.

Xenomorf, we do appreciate your thoroughness and attention to details - thank you for your efforts.

We really appreciate having errors reported to us (that's why the links exist.) However, it just isn't possible for us to deal with hundreds of reports from a single user while also keeping up with 3,000-plus comments, questions, suggestions and error reports. (That's what we receive in a typical month between the two helpdesks we provide.)

A few error reports at a time work best - let us close those out before sending in a few more. That will avoid the deluge that unfortunately landed us in a very large backlog situation last year.

ok.
