Excessive crate time causes compulsive behaviors such, but not limited to, obsessive tail rubbing, spinning and barking. Most dogs who are deprived of adequate stimulation or change in environments for long periods of time will at the very least become hyper and unruly with uncontrollable jumping and bouncing when released.

I don't mean for this thread to start up a a debate on the use of crates. It is just meant to be an FYI since there are lots of new DG subscribers many of which might not be aware of these problems. I'm highlighting "behavior problems" and their causes on my website today and thought it might be helpful information to post here.
