Candidates..Let the Games Begin!

(Zone 7a)

Everyone should have their seeds now. I just need to hear from Marie and Antonio. Which I'm sure his will be soon. I got a little tired of scrolling and wanted to move thread http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/498927/ over to this thread..he he he

Okay...now I remember what I wanted to grow..You all have reported you received these seeds..

1. African Couchgrass - This is a maybe and I have no idea..I suspect these seeds are Digitaria abyssinica

2. Hibiscus "cuban" - Possibly Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (added pic)

3. Dwarf red marigold - Time will tell

4. Bur marigold - Time will tell (hopefully Bidens Aristosa)

5. French marigold - These are suppose to have a very light top and deep sides. (Time will tell)

6. Dahlia - I never seen one like it! I hope it comes true...don't even know the name - Gorgeous!

7. Rare marigold bush - Suppose to be this rare marigold Bush 2-3 feet tall and wide - flowers are Red with Gold tips (Time will tell)

8. Burgundy gaillardia - Possibly a perennial (totally burgundy)

9. Blue asarina - Time will tell..I'm expecting Royal Blue! :-D

Great Jan! They are very hard to germinate. The lady I got them from kept telling me how wonderfully they reseed...yeah right! ha ha ha. I have one out of 50 seeds. So I spread the love and hopefully someone else will get one. What if my one dies??? I'm hoping you'll get some.

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

I'm surprised they're hard. They look like common marigold seeds and that's the way I'm treating them so we'll see what happens.
