B. Creamsickle is usually my first to bloom. This one is in a 3 gallon pot waiting to be planted. My other one is planted in the yard and has three buds dragging the ground. They don't have any color this early in the season, but it is always one of my favorites and blooms all summer non stop.
B. creamsickle
AHA - Patricia...I have that as well and it has its first blooms and they are pale ... what color do they become?
Carol
Lovely photo, Patrica. Looks like my first bloomer this year will be Arborea and that is not usual!
Mel
I can tell that I am going to have to get me one of those..sigh..
Creamsickle has a nice flower. I just wish it would put on some color for me instead of remaining white all the time. Carol, they are supposed to be white changing to peach. Nice picture Patricia.
Nice picture. Creamsickle is a favorite of mine. I love the large blooms.
It's beautiful!!! How does it like HOT and HUMID??
Mine opened kind of late in the season and didn't exactly change colors all the way but I can tell you that this is one B I G!! H E A V Y! flower.
It must be a foot long and weigh a pound or more. I grow mine in a pot now because it didn't overwinter for me in winter of 03 and I had to beg for a replacement so I won't put it back into the ground.
Creamsickle is a beautiful bloom.
Carol, Usually as soon as our tempretures start warming up, it blooms white, but as the flowers age, they become a peach and white. It always reminds me of orange sherbert ice cream. It has a wonderful fragrance on warm summer night. Like I said, mine usually doesn't stop blooming all summer.
Sherry, We can get up to 110 during the summer and it always handles the heat well for me. Where other's will be wilting, this one never does for me.
