Prices were on the high side however so our pocketbooks were relatively safe....

Though spring outside was rather dreary...our spirits seemed to soar in here

Lovely! Thanks for taking us on the tour too. :)

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

It should be interesting to see what comes into that greenhouse this year......it was bought out by Dutch Growers in Saskatoon so we are expecting big changes and better selection now! Ü Prolly higher prices too tho.

Moose Jaw's larger greenhouse is also going in on purchases from the States with Dutch Growers..........Imma praying that the same old, same old will be a thing of the past now.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Looks like you and Joelle had alot of fun. Beautiful flowers!

Thanks......we did! :) It was soooooooooooooooooooooooo nice to go with another plant person!!!!!!!!!! Ü

Now you made me want a Miltonia. Those are gorgeous.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

That they are!!!..........their price tag of $49.00 tempered my drooling somewhat tho! ;)

Maybe next year. And I won't order any perennials from anywhere. I'd come out way ahead.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

I loved this GH! It is huge! Well to me it is. Great selection too... couldn't get Pam out of the Orchid area though!!! LOL, Joelle

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Was I THAT obvious??? ;)

They really did have some exceptional beauties there!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Oh nummy, Pam. Who is the last little ruffled number--pink and yellow? Very nice and doesn't look flat enough to be Miltonia. Dawn

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

It's my new baby Dawn !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Cattleya BLC. Varut Roongkamul......it's price was $16.00. *Ü*

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Congrats to You! It's a beautiful little babe. $16 are you kidding? Sounds most reasonable to me.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

I'm thinking that with all that Pam has bought, traded, and already had, we should all go there and see whather houseis like. I bet it's just chaulk full of wonderful plants.

Pictures Pam please of whats blooming at your house...

Linda

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Not a whole lot Linda. :( Most of my plants are just coming out of dormancy I'll take a look around but I don't think it would be very exciting right now.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Dawn you are right about the above orchid, that Joelle steered me too, it was one heck of a good deal. Ü

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

If you look very closely you can see Pam in one of these Pics. LOL!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I see a gargoyle but not Pam. Pam doesn't look anything like a gargoyle. She quite cute actually.
LOL!
I give up, which picture is she in?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

:).......LOL.....thanks Liz.

Joelle Imma pretty sure there *WILL* be a picture of you showing up on here! ;)

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

Let me do my hair first!! LOL!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Was that a gargoyle Liz? I think Linda is shifting the focus onto Moose Jaw for a while perhaps. It is fun to see what everybody has shopped for especially at this time of year, when we are all ravenous for new plants. Do you have the red leafed number, Liz. Would be pretty with Canna ' Tropicanna' or Pretoria or whatever they will call it this year.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Which red leafed number Dawn?
If I don't have it can I find it at the Alpine Club sale? LOL
Do you happen to have a picture of that gorgeous iris that you got from there? What was it called as I will be fighting the "ravenous hordes" to get one.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Red thing looks more like a ti or croton like houseplant, Liz. It is posted above by Lilypon. Golly, if it is the Iris confusa you want, I can give you some. It spreads slowly by stolons. I'm digging some for Elaine. Should bloom this week with the sun.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Dawn is right it's a Ti plant, Hawaiian Ti, Good Luck Plant (Cordyline fruticosa) weeds said once it was one of her favourite plants. I wish they'd sell small starts of it here. One greenhouse had a price of $40+ on it.

Just catching up with this thread - thanks for all the pics, Pam and Joelle! I especially like the shots of the shelves showing all the different plants, and the one of the display areas - makes me feel like I'm right there in the greenhouse. Looking forward to hearing your impressions of how (or whether) the change of ownership affects the selection, prices, etc. at this nursery. Dutch Growers seems to be the most expensive gh in Saskatoon, but their selection and quality are generally quite good.
