H. finlaysonii

Here's another example of having too many hoya. H. finlaysonii managed to develop this nice bud, and there's a second peduncle with teeny little buds forming. I never even saw it until tonight. This is "her" first time. I have to go back and read, but I think finlaysonii's flower only lasts for about 12 hours (?). I don't know what I did right over the winter but everything seems to be busting out. I started thinking about it last night. They were kept warm in my greenhouse and I fed diluted doses of Super Bloom about every three weeks. Also started the Messenger treatments 5 weeks ago. Or maybe they just decided to give me a break.

Congratulations on your new bloomers!
Mine bloomed last year and as I recall, the bloom lasted a couple days. Will see if I can locate the picture.

I had a bloom! It just took awhile for me to get the photo going.

How wonderful Susan! Looks to me that you have bloomers in the background too! How long did your flower last?

Congratulations NightB! Lovely flowers.

Mel, it lasted about three days. Funny though, only three of the flowers on the umbel opened the first day. The next morning it looked like they were closed again. That evening the rest of it bloomed. Yes, lots of other hoya blooming. I've had more this spring than ever before.
