it's about 2 years old, but short, about 4 foot, several branches coming out of the pot, and it's about a 5 gallon pot it's in, but the roots are all over thetop of the soil, and I have to water it everyday almost, leaves turning yellow all the time. wondering If I need to do something else, this is quite pretty brug in the past, but I think it needs more room, Or, I saw some spider mites on some of the very tips of the b ranches, could this be the problem? I've since sprayed for the spider mites, and don't see them any more, still pulling yellow leaves off it, I'll take a pic tomorrow of it. I've chopped on it all winter trying to make it look decent LOL.
it didn't really work either.

tequila sunrise maybe rootbound
I would definitely move it into a larger pot and do some root trimming.
Many times when a plant is in the same container as in your case for two years it becomes root bound. Watering every day or two may seem like your providing sufficient water but your not. The root system has become so tight that most of the water will only saturate the outter part of the pot. The only true way to water then is by soaking the entire pot in a tub or large tray of water for several hours.
Also problems arrise because you may be fertilizing it and it can't utilize the fertilizer properly. You will also have a build up from the salts in the fertilizers used and potted brugs should be flushed with plain water. I flush my potted brugs at least every 2-3 weeks during the summer to help flush the build up. This is what I have done and experienced with my potted brugs and works for me.
I hope this helps and hope others will give you advise from their many years of experience.
Kin
Not an expert here, but I think Kin is right. I've heard others say they re-pot their brugs after so long, and trim the roots. I know it sounds scary - I know someday I will have to do it myself and just cringe. I'm not going to use Miracle Grow this year, but stick to a method that Gretchen introduced, plus add a little fish emulsion to it as well, plus this stuff called "save a tree" that already has the agriculture molassas in it, so I don't have to use more. Do you have her recipe?
I think I read it on another thread this morning unless it's a different one Karrie. Can you post it here or give us the link dear?
Gretchen has beautiful plants so it must work wonders!!!
Edited to say lol
