I have been putting most of my brugs out each day for a couple of hours, today I noticed all the brugs that had been outside have mites, and now the leaves are looking bad. will they get mites all the time? I have been so careful watching them all the time .
Frustrating
I have lots of trouble with all kinds of mites. We had lot of ornimental shrubs, blue spruce trees, fruit trees, all harbor mites of every kind, through the winter. We got rid of fruit trees, etc. Have to spray Avid, Neem oil, Ortho, etc. for mites all summer. Usually just as buds appear, have them, then buds drop. I know the feeling.........very frustrating!
Unfortunately Mites love Brugs.
well I hope I don't have to give up brugs, but I was exhausted spraying them all then again today, I am trying to keep them away from the rest but I don't think it is doing any good
My mite problem got better once they were outside last year, but it took a sideways shower with the garden hose when I first took them out to blast the bad boys loose. I swear by that method. The mites didn't return until the fall when the brugs came inside again. (I also kept them in a partially shaded area, which kept the plants cooler, and not so attractive to the stinkers.)
I'm sorry Doris, I can relate to your frustration, because my mite problem is getting bad inside. Even my xanthosoma got covered the other day. I went on a Safer, then palmolive spraying spree. Dh is not amused with the strange scents filling the air. He can't grasp all the effort it takes for this plant.
I wish you good luck!
LOL mine either! hehehe oh well! They must learn to live with it or live without us...hmmm I've heard that before somewhere LOL
