I have several trades of
Peony Festiva Maxima to trade. It's white with red splashes in the center.
Also many hostas. Although they are no longer named. My little chickens plucked out the name tags! LOL I have 2 of the tiaras (spelling?) and wide brim that I know the general area they were planted in. Also a VERY large blue hosta thats real pretty. And many others.
Many double peach colored daylilys.
Stella dora daylily
An old pink rose that I could take cuttings from. I don't know the name of it but it gets very large. Blooms off and on all summer and the blooms smell great!
Mountian pinks. Pretty pink flowers with a strong spicy sccent.
Red Raspberry canes-lots and lots of raspberry canes! LOL
Cuttings of Gooseberry bush
Oregano that is a perennial here.
I'm sure there are other things also that I'm just not thinking of right now. Everything is just starting to break dormancy.
Wanted;
Elephant Ears
Alocasia Macrorrhiza
Colocasia Nancy's Revenge
Tacca - White Bat Plant
Cannas-with large green foilage
Cannas-with burgundy foilage
Lotus-with large leaves-wanted more for the foilage.
Pond plants other than waterlillies. I have enough of them.
Any tropical looking plants for around the pond. I'm open to sugestions & very easy to trade with.

Linda, I have lots of tall red leaved cannas. Don't know the name, but they have small coral blooms; I grow them for the leaves. Also could spare an Imperial Taro(Colocosia esculenta 'Illustris') which performs well in the garden or as a water plant. I have some extra of a Colocosia esculenta type that had red stems when given to me, but has not shown that coloration since I've been growing it(I think because I have more shade). I could also spare a bulb of my Tropicana Cana.
I'm interested in your hostas if you see anything you'd like. And would love red raspberry to.
Kaleem, That would be great! Thanks!
Charlotteda, I've added the only photo that I can find of one of the hosta beds. It's not a very good photo though. The large blue hosta are on each side of the chimney near the back of the bed. The picture was taken two years after they were planted. They are a good bit larger now. I forgot about the very large green hosta. That ones on the right side of the picture.
Countrybumpkin, Thank you! I'd love some of your Pickerel Rush, running elephant ears with yellow bloom & butterfly ginger.
Gemini_sage, Hostas & raspberries it is! Any hosta in particular or a little of several? Your tall red leaved cannas & Imperial Taro(Colocosia esculenta 'Illustris') sounds wonderful!
I still have lots of everything I listed if anyone else is interested. LOL
Thanks everyone! You guys just amaze me! I'll be digging on Sunday and mailing on Monday if thats OK with you. Please email me your address if its not in the exchange. I can't thank you enough, Linda
It's a shame you can't grow hostas. :) Lovely pic!
Linda,
I have yellow water iris. You can plant it in or out of the water. They grow very tall, but the flowers are very bright and dainty. I am interested in your blue hosta, peony and gooseberry cuttings if possible. I have other things listed on my trade list that you may be interesed in. Please let me know. I can send out on Monday if interested! Wow! What awesome hostas!! Chickens... You gotta love em!
Kandice
Hey Linda, I have lots of red cannas. They're unnamed but get about 4 to 6 feet tall, big green leaves, and bright red flowers. Very pretty. And multiply like rabbits. LOL I have a bunch of the roots/tubers/whatever they are and I could send you a couple. Just getting ready to replant them for the summer. You mentioned you have water lilies? Are they the lily-pad-type? Do they winter over? I see you're also in PA....
Jenn
I think the chickens must have "pooed" in there when they were removing the tags - thats why the hosta have grown so well :)

Oh goodie! I can send 10 or so red cannas and a couple of the Imperial Taro. I'd be thrilled with a raspberry and a sampling of hostas. I'm beginning my "Hosta Walk" and want as many different sizes, shapes, and colors as possible, so my needs are great and I'm not picky. I do have a particular fondness for big ones though.
Hi Linda,
I'm interested in your Blue Hostas and the Peach Daylilies. I have Yellow Cannas 4ft, Orange Cannas(with the Burgundy leaves) 5+ft, and Umbrella Plants. The Umbrella Plants do well next to the water, or in full sun to part shade.
Thanks,
luckpup
Badseed; LMBO! This was actually my first attempt at hostas! I went a little crazy that year, wanting one of every kind I could find. They really really surprised me when they grew so well there. I seem to have to thin them every other year. I guess I should just move some of them because they are way to close together.
Kandice; I'd like some of your water iris and a small start of bleeding heart & globe thistle if it's not to much to ask for. I'll send the blue hosta, peony and gooseberry cuttings out on Monday. Thanks for offering!
greenthumber; Yes, my waterlillies winter over. I just move them to the deepest part of the pond in the late fall. I think I have 2 that may be able to be divided this year. I'll check sunday and let you know. I have red, Yellow & white but I did'nt mark them so I'm not sure which one is which.
Charlotteda; Yes, I think they did! Needless to say they are in a fenced in area now. They started to wander a little to far off our property!
gemini_sage; I'll pick out a nice variety for you & send on Monday. Thanks soo much!
luckpup; Cannas & umbrella plant would be great! The hostas & daylillies are yours. Will mail on Monday. Thank you!
Thanks so much everyone! I can see my pond filling up very nicely now! I'm so excited! I just can't wait to see it all planted and growing!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I love chickens but the fox ate all mine last summer. Your package was mailed this morning-have an eyeball out for it :)
charlotte
Will get them in the mail Monday. I'm in the exchange too.

luckpup
