Picked up a Musa Sumatrana plant at HDlast weekend.When do I go to a larger pot? What and how much fer? It is 3to 4 ft. tall and pot must be abt 3 gal. Thanks for any help. Dixie

The bigger the better would be my advice. At that height, it won't be long before she would become top heavy and will need a good base to hold her from blowing over. I have my dwarf in a 20 gallon pot. Grew my Zebrina in an old automatic washer tub last year. All others have always gone in the ground.
