Anyone have a bright orange and/or yellow they don't need?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Somehow the few brugs I have remaining are white, pinks and peaches. Any chance someone has a nice vivid bright orange or yellow cutting/rooted plant they don't need that might bloom this year? I know. It's a lot to ask for.

Hi Springsong! How are you??? The name is not important at all! I just want those two colors for the back garden by the pond. I'd be thrilled with that one! She is pretty. :)

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Badseed...since it looks like you got a yellow...I have Jean Pascoe, Solid Gold or Dr. Suess if you would like one of them.

I have one of Springsong's Whiskers X Unknown cuttings and it starts out with a gorgeous yellow bloom which turns to orange the 2nd or 3rd day, and it smells divine! I love her!!!

Thank you Amanda! I have missed you!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I want to thank you guys so much for your willingness to share. :) It is such a reminder of what a great place DG is and of the lovely people that are members here.

Picturelady, I would be thrilled with any that you would like to share. I am in zone 6 and will let you pick any one that is not terrible picky and can take cool winters indoors and hot, humid summers outdoors. I know some of them are a bit weird about those conditions. I really envision a nice pumpkin orange. Anything orange would be very nice! Please let me know what I can send you. Things are coming up really nice here and I have a lot of nice stuff, although small, but healthy, in my greenhouse.

Amanda, I am thrilled to see you here. :) I will be happy with anything you would like to send. Please let me know what I can send to you. What I said above applies to all of you.

Kaufman, I would be happy to have that one too. It will be doubly nice since it comes from both of you.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Badseed...please send me your address...I have to mail out some packages on Mon. and could include yours also!
Anyone have any idea of which of the following would be best in Zone 6 and is the brightest orange? Jean Pascoe, Solid Gold or Dr. Suess!? I have seen the Dr. Suess and it is a orangy yellow, turning to pumpkin orange...I think you would like it!

I've not had Solid Gold, but Suess would be a good one. Michele, this fall, I'm probably going to release the one I've been calling Pumpkin, tho I've received an email stating that Pumpkin was being sold in a nursery in Texas. I'll change the name to something else so they can't be confused. I will then send you a cutting from her if you will remind me and if you still need it.

Thank you Shirley for both the offer and the recommendation. :)

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Did Kells Big Yella make it for you Michele? Its JUST like Dr Suess. I have to agree with you!! The people here are just wonderful!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Shirley, that orange is beautiful. How about Pumpkin Pie or Pretty Pumpkin?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Too bad Home Depot isn't a very flattering color for the orange brug, Brugie. It sure is pretty!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Shirley, I LOVE the orange!!, looks like a piece of Candy Corn to me, even the shape......LOL
Wowza. I've gone back to enlarge her picture three times already.
She is really something else.

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

You could name it Jazzpunkin... heh heh... (going back to my corner)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey, good idea. When the time comes, I may have to ask you guys for help. I'm not quite ready to name her yet. LOL! Thanks. She really is special, for her color is pretty hard to come by in other brugs. David Hines has a pretty orange this year too.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Where is David these days? Haven't seen him post but then again he may have and I missed it.

Lovin' all these yellows and oranges I'm seeing :)

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

It's a beauty, Shirley. I love the color

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

oh me me me i have one that color observing again this summer It bloomed during our fire so i have no picture i will post on this summer

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Amanda, how are things since the fire?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

That brug looks like it would smell soooo good! Does it? I tried to bury my nose in the monitor, but didn't get the right effects. :)

When I first looked at the picture, Orange Sherbet came to mind, but I'm sure that name is most likely already taken.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Joan, I was so excited to have one that was so orange in color that I forgot to stick my nose in it. LOL!

Thanks everyone. I didn't mean for this thread to turn to my brug. Just wanted Michele to know that I would help her out this fall if she needs a start.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Shirley you can steal my thread any time you want. That orange is gorgeous! Every time I think of a name for an orange that sounds good, it is because someone else already thougt so too. LOL Is there already a Tangerine Sorbet out there?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Tangerine Sorbet sounds like it fits it perfectly !!! A real beauty!

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

Things are getting back to normal Michele thanks for asking. We got a double wide. and I lost a lot of my bigger plants but I am slowly getting all new ones. It can only get better.I LOVE my new house and we bought extra land here so i have more room now!
A blessing in disguise.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Amanda, I am so impressed at how you are looking at things. :) I am sure it was the most overwhelming and disgusting thing when it happened. I am thrilled to death that you got a bigger house and yard out of the deal! Did you get enough room for me and my house too? hehehe

Hey, let me know what plants you lost or what you might like to grow. If you saw how full my greenhouse is of seedlings, plants and bulbs, you would fall on the ground laughing!! I still owe you a big one for the box you sent my girls. I would love to send you some plants. Heck, half the stuff I have out there won't even last the winter here. I'd be glad to send it south.

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

Thanks I have to get my drive way finished before i put in any more plants . I am getting things at the Ga swap this weekend so that will help I already have it in my head where that stuff will go but beyond that whewww i do not know I am a brugie fanatic so i am saving space for my seedlings. I have got to quit I keep telling my self people think i am crazy with all the brugs in my yard.Obssesive, that is what they call me. heckI willl just pop me a zoloft and keep on planting em.....You do not owe me anything for the package Girl!! I was just so Glad I could give them to some one I know instead of Good will.
