This is such a beautiful plant, Kimmie, but unfortunately I cannot grow it in Santiago. It is too hot and too dry here.

I am so sorry - it must have been by mistake that I hit the 'unwatch thread' line.

Kaleem, yes, it is a Chilean native species that grows in the cold rainforests of southern Chile.

Kim were you able to grow them?

Silvermansia, try with B & T Worldseeds or Chiltern Seeds. I had a few seeds two or three years ago, when a friend brought them for me from his vacations in the south. None left.

I agree with you all: it is a very beautiful shrub.

Hi,
I will be starting these next week. I have so many Chilean seeds I started last week. I'll let you know how the germination does :-D
