Are they carion plant flowers? I had the plant for years but it never bloomed so I gave it away. I saw my first flower at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and fell in love.

Yes, Carion Flowers (Stapelia gigantea, Stapelia grandiflora) belong to this group though not all of them have foul smelling flowers :).

I also hope that the good Dr makes it over here to share his knowledge on the african ascleps.
