I can't believe that, just put them in there last week, and pulled one out today and it was full of roots, not one or two but 7 or 8 of them, I guess I shouldn't get a big head though LOL.

The suspense is killing me! What did Awanda tell you to do that made your hoyas root so quickly? I'm new at propagating, and my cuttings don't seem to be doing much. What is that I need to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????LOL,

Thanks,

Well, I already had the little mini greenhouse like she has, I put them in a small pot and put them on a heating pad, and keep a fan in there for circulation, (I found a fan awanda) LOL, the warmth and humidity is what they need, I'm sure awanda will step in here too. It's working fo rme though

You're rooting them in soil, then? What size pot and what is the material(plastic?) You have to explain it to me like the novice that I am. LOL

Thanks,

oh I forgot that patt, I'm not the pro here, but my pots are too big at 4 in, just telling you what i've been told, small pots, and a mix of diff soils, like sand, I think I used sand, potting mix, pearlite and mixed it up, others use more expensive things. this mix gets dry daily, on the heating pad so I have to water it everyday. even when it's all closed up in there and there's humidity all over the walls of the mini greenhouse. it still dries out in the pots, so I have to watch it. I couldn't root the hoyas at all till I put them on the heating pad, put alight in the mini greenhouse and fan, and the soil mix, now it seems to be a tad easier, I think the obovata was just an easy hoya to root too, those skinny stemmed hoyas, I have a devil of a time getting them to root.

Kathy_Ann I have nothing to add, you're doing great:-). I have found that using sphagnum moss works great for rooting thin hoyas. I wrap in moss, with plastic and aluninum foil and lay on a heat mat (only the wrapped end). I've had cuttings root in about a week with that method.

Blessings,
Awanda
