Shipping scale - portion control & packages, all-in-one :)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Howie and I just bought a shipping scale on eBay. We've been using a scale we got from Stamps.com a few years ago, but it only weighs in tenths of ounces with a 5lb limit, and we've wanted to be able to weigh portions in grams, like packages list them.

So, now we can kill two birds with one stone...Primarily, we'll use it for weighing food portions, but it has a capacity of 50 pounds so it will also be handy for weighing packages, too. It weights in grams, kilograms, pounds and ounces, so we're covered!

It's a My Weight Ultraship 50 - http://myweigh.com/mediumscales_ultraship.html - and it rated well in a comparison review on Scales Magazine: http://www.digitalscale.com/SHIPPING%20SCALES%20COMPARED.htm (scroll down - it's at the end of the review).

The best price I found anywhere was $26.75 (+ $12.90 s/h) on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5568534889&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

It's a dutch auction and there are more than 300 available at that price. Nice thing is, the seller, "oldwillknott---(great-scales!)", is also a recommended vendor by My Weigh. He has a website, but his eBay prices are cheaper.
