I wasn't sure of the right way to write the name of this hoya and I am not sure at all of the correct I. D. I received it in a trade from a friend last year. She said that she got her's from a lady in Sweden. Does anyone have a picture of H. jungle garden that I can compare this one with.

I was just looking on the Collectors Corner hoya site. They show a picture of H. jungle garden, but mine doesn't look like it. It also looks alot different than my publicalyx 'Bright one' and
H. publicalyx 'Royal Hawaiin Purple'. They say it may be the same as H publicalyx 'Silver Pink' but I have seen that one also, and it doesn't look the same too me.
What do you see different about it, Patricia, from "Pink Silver"...are the leaves different from pubicalyx or are they more like H. carnosa. Wasn't there a cultivar call H. ? cv. Jungle Garden?

Hmm....the corona is pink rather than white like the Pink Silver. That sure is a beautiful deep red (?). I am just silly for the pubicalyx cultivars. Bright One is supposed to have a pink corona to match the coronal lobe with white around the edge.
Is the corona naturally that color or is it stained from nectar?
I've been hunting around all my material and looking for pubicalyx literature all night.

At the time I had (and still have) no information in regards to cv. Jungle Garden.
To me yours looks like cv. Bright One due to the coloration of the coronas.
I was just looking at Carin's site. Her pink silver looks just like my Jungle Garden. I have one labeled cv. Bright One and the flowers were alot lighter.
I just went back and read your post on publicalyx cultivators also. It is really hard sometimes to destinguish between them.
I just compared the leaves on my cv Jungle and Bright One and they look different to me, of course I'm looking though 55 year young eyes, so everything looks different to me:-).
