Hi everyone.
This is my second brug after Maya to bloom and I'm looking for an ID if possible, Just prior to opening, it looked like it was going to be yellow but this is how it opened. No fragrance as yet. Solid leaves.
Please ID
I think it would be impossible to put a name on it unless the person that sent it to you took a cutting from a named plant.
There are so many now that look so similar it's getting harder and harder to ID them.
maybe from the 'Frosty pink' collection...Terry is right, there are so many different pinks out there it would be hard to be exact on identification. Can you ask the person that sent it to you to tell you who the plant originated from.... Parentage I mean?
Julie
It's possible it's a Insignis frosty pink X suavolens frosty pink cross as I got some last year. I got a few unnamed cuttings last year but didn't mark where they came from.

Hi , am new to daves site. i was wondering what a brug is and how imight be able to geta cutting or start a plant. CAn anyone explain ( in short) how you trade plants and or seeds or buy these from eachother? thanks Kim
Kim you do what you just did. However, find one that you really want or mention a color that you are interested in and just put out the word. Right now, probably the only people with any extra cutting material would live in the warmer states like CA, TX, and FL or near by. Those of us in the northern states haven't had time to get ours growing full tilt yet. If you want to see some really awesome pictures, go to Monika's threads and check some of them out. Here is a link to her threads. Plan on having some time to look. LOL!

PS. Monika's brugs are not readily available. One day they will be more so, but if you check some of the other member's pages of threads, you will find lots of pictures or you can go to the Plantfiles tab above and look for Brugmansia.

Welcome Kim! I didn't know the slightest thing about Brugs (including what they even were) when I first joined Daves. Thanks to the great people here, I have a nice combination going. Good advice here as well!
