Names of doubles

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

Hi folks....just for my own reference.....what are the names and colors of some of the more common 'doubles'?

(This has probably been asked before and I apologize if so, but I searched and couldn't find the topic.)

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

WHITE:

candida Double White - inner skirt stuffed inside the outer one, velvety leaves

Species - inner skirt dropped below outer one, sawtoothed leaves

Enchanted Double White

Shredded White, Fantasma - shredded blooms

PEACH - ORANGE

Creamsickle - sometimes stays white in hot temps

Herrenhauser Garten - easy to find, hard to get blooms to stay on & open

Desiree

Double Peach

YELLOW

American Pride

Lexy

Any of the white ones listed should be easy to find, the peach ones may be a little bit harder, the yellow ones are very new, and in very short supply

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

And my favorite, Golden Lady :) Smaller blooms with a peachy inner skirt when we're lucky!

Thanks, Vi, I knew that I was leaving some out! So many people had looked at this thread without responding. I thought if I jumped in and named some, it would get the ball rolling! I left out Golden Lady and Tiara, and both of them are sitting in the basement right now. If either one had bloomed before, I would have remembered to list them!

Deltona, FL(Zone 9a)

I didn't know Lexy was double?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hawaiian dbl. white is a nice one, stays white, has a very long inner skirt, blooms a lot..

There are some new dbl. pinks out also.

Thanks Ronna, violabird, Hibiscus!
Just what I needed...I appreciate your help.

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

carissa, also I loevd her this summer and she is fixing to bloom here for me again!
golden lady and cariss are my favorite doubles that i have, i would love to have a yellow one.

Ozark, AL(Zone 8b)

This is Lexy, from last fall. She was shy about opening up and dropping her skirts in the heat, but her late fall flowers were beauties, and were fragrant even during the day. I gave several away at the Florala round-up, but have none available right now. (unless someone has a Dbl Pink to trade!). They may 'get around' soon, but are still hard to come by.

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

(sigh) join the club, (lol!)

I'm saving my pennies....just want to know what to look for when I has enough!!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

'Sweetheart' has hearts along her skirt and very fragrant.

'Allaquippa' is also lovely, turns to a rich apricot and sometimes blooms triples.

'Alyse' flowers are almost 3 times the size of her mother, 'Golden Lady'.

'Bambina' s a small flower double that stands straight out from the plant.

'White Lady' is similar to 'Tiara', but smaller.

'Ribbons' ..I don't know what she is!

'Tufted' is another odd one.

These are mine, except 'White Lady', which is an old one.

No one mentioned 'Gemini', either. That one is special.
