The bird center on the Island said he was a "fall-out" bird, we are the first land across the Gulf and he was hungry and exhausted. When they see land, they "fall-out" of the sky and sometimes just lay there. They fed him and kept him overnight and released him the next morning. He flew off into the wild blue!
His wing wasn't broken.
