Banana Pecan Cake

1/4 C. softend butter
1 1/3 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 C. sifted all-purpose flour
Banana Frosting
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 C. buttermilk
1 C. mashed ripe bananas
1 C. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13x9x2 baking pan. Beat butter until fluffy in large bowl of electric mixer.
Gradually add sugar. Contiue beating until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add to sugar mixture alternately with milk. Add bananas and pecans. Pour into greased and floured baking pan. Bake in moderate oevn at 350 degrees for 40 mintues. Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes. Turn onto wire rack. Cool completely. Frost with banana Frosting >>>

3/4 C. butter at room temperature
3/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
6.T. milk
3 1/2 C. 10 x sugar
1 tsp. banana flavor.
1/2 C. pecans

Mix together all ingredients, except pecans. Beat well. Fold in pecans and ice cool cake.
