I have posted this on the ID forum...but thought some of the mavens here could help,. too.
When I bought this at the market, it had a small blue/violet flower coming out of the bottom...African Violet of some kind?

they call it brown spiderwort, siderasis fuscata, i believe...i have one...it was sold to me off of ebay..i luv mine and have divided it 2x....it is related to the wandering jew family i believe......best of luck

AH...thanks to you all. Yes, I am going to look at dividing it and planting half outdoors...to see if it likes it out in the rain....
