Lets See Your Pets

Au Gres, MI(Zone 5a)

Let's see your pets.....I have two German Shephards who have not figured out that they are dogs yet....and two "guard ducks" . The ducks are domesticated Mallards. The two dogs are Blaze and Cyndee.....The ducks we just call "The Webster's".

This is my Juliet. I bought her last summer at the age of 5 from a breeder who was no longer going to let her have puppies. I went there brokenhearted after losing my Buffy to put a deposit on a bichon not yet born and met Juliet and fell in love with her. I brought her home with me and she has helped fill a very empty hole in my heart. She was a champion showdog in her younger days. She is so good that I call her my "stepford dog". :) She is sweet, quiet and gentle and we all love her to pieces.

branka..........so glad you responded, you are our Honorary Michigander......and look at Gypsy, what a gorgous face she has....she and Cyndee would have a great ole time playing here. I too love GS Dogs....they have this look of nobility about them....Bubba is a cutiepie too.....wish more members would respond with their animals....I know Dori has a nice dog too....

Brenda, thanks for showing Juliet's picture, she is beautiuful, how I remember when you lost Buffy, but this little lady is sure a sweetheart....with all of the mud and dirt we have now, how are you keeping her so nice and clean....

I have a digital camera, but posting pics is beyond me, so I will have to describe Aspen to you. She is a long hair, gray/black cat (actually kinda ugly - has a sway back too) But she is the nicest, most laid back cat we have ever had. She lets anyone pick her up and she just flops in your arms She only has one working eye and when you do get her in a picture, her bad eye looks just awful. She was in a fight and the vet said she would need eye surgery to the tune of many many hundreds of $$ and then he wasn't sure if it would even help. So, she is one eyed. But still a lovey dovey gal. She's my side kick - where I go, she is.

Hi Paul

What a sweet looking puppy Tide is, looks like a Yellow Lab?? Please take comfort knowing that he and my Kelly girl are on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us......

http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm

The big guy sitting is Blaze, Kelly's son. He is now almost 11 years old, and still has not figured out yet that he is a dog......

All of your babies are lovely. If I could have a gazzilion critters I would.

I am sorry about Tide and Kelly. I know about that empty feeling in your hearts. It's been almost 3 years since I had my Cochise put down. He was 12, his hips were shot but in the end it was cancer that took him. He was a shepherd/lab mix and he was an awesome dog.

Here's my boy:

BEARDTONGUE.... what the heck kind of pet is that? I'd be afraid to go to sleep at night. Is that a joke? If not, then I apologize and will void my previous statement and tell you what a lovely pet you have. *gulp*
Here is a pic of my little girl Chezney. She hates it when I'm sick or have surgery. She won't leave my side (or in this case head)

branka.........LOL at Bubba.........wonder what he would do if he came to visit my dogs. We have several large ponds here.....probably 3 to 4 acres big. When Blaze and Cyndee get a drink, they just don't go to the shore line, they emerge their entire bodies into the pond, until they are chin deep and just stand there and lap up the water. When the weather warms up and they start doing this again, I will be taking pictures so you can see this.

Aww, Jacklynn. Don't you think my "favorite" pet that you commented on and your Kenzie would have made a great pair? I am afraid that would have never been as my pet is a fiction. I saw that picture from an e-mail my mother sent me and copied it. Doesn't that cat look so creepy? Really weird . . .
