Need suggestions for a new timer for watering system...

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

...one that would be indoors and control 6 different zones. The one I have seems to not be affecting one of the zones anymore....Would like to get one that is easy to use and dependable...any suggestions???
Thanks, Margie

Margie, do you mean 6 different groupings of plants?? I have never found an easy water timer and will look forward to seeing if there is one...

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for Margie, but I use a wild contraption to water four different areas of my garden with soaker hoses connected to garden hoses, from this faucet. I have two timers on it now and am adding a third to add two more brug beds to the equation. Works really well for me:

Edited to add...sorry but its behind a trellis and this is the best image I could get :)

I have no timers on anything except my indoor grow lights. Hope you find what you need.

Thanks Gretchen for your photo...actually what I am looking for its a timer that you place indoors and can set to time schedules for the lawn watering, etc.
Someone recommended a Rainbird PC506 to me...does anyone else have one of these? What do you think of it?

Margie, I guess special wiring is required, that's a question, or is it 'wireless', like the wireless cable for my computer...

Sherry...it is special wiring, which is all set up...except that it is not working correctly anymore with my current Lawn Genie timer.

Here's one that has lots of programable zones it seems... I don't know anything about this one.. I have one timer for all of mine.. and one for the misting..
this has no solonoid valves.. just the electronic controls.. compatability will have to be determined... good Luck Gordon

I have 2 orbit watermaster 6 zone programmables that work really well. simple and efficient and with a nice small footprint. I have installed a few dozen for others in the County (in order to supplement my meager retirement income) and have no complaints except that I wish someone else would do the d**n digging

Thank you Gordon and kikisdad...I will look into both of them.
