Does anyone know where I could purchase an Alocasia 'frydek'? I overwatered my last one and it rotted. I'm so bummed out and would really like to have another one as it was my favorite plant.
Seeking Alocasia 'Frydek' plants
I found this place. http://tytyga.com/elephantears-new/pg11-alocasiafrydek.html However, I have not looked them up in the Garden Watchdog, so you might want to check it before ordering. I also found this place. http://www.hilltop-gardens.com/tropmobody.html.
Brugie, after looking in the watchdog, you probably won't want to order from tyty!
I won't ever be ordering from Tyty after seeing all of the negative feedback listed.
Hilltop-gardens has good prices. Anyone order from this place before?
Emily, I have some plants if you are interested. E mail me.
You have mail.
LOL! Susie, that is why I try to cover my rear by making the statement that I haven't looked the company up in the Garden Watchdog. Better for people to check than to be sorry. Thanks.
Brugie, I know what you mean, lol. A few times I've ordered from a company then realize "oh, I should have checked first." TyTy's website is so tempting, but I have been afraid to order. I've gotten enough stuff from HD and Wallyworld that was mistagged. I have 20 orange daylilies, lol, they were supposed to be pink and purple!
I ended up buying a very beautiful Alocasia 'frydek' from Bentley Gardens. Instead of just one plant, they sent me a bunch with 2 good sized plants with 7 little ones. Lots of new growth and wonderful roots. I'm absolutely thrilled! And for $12, a good deal.
www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com has them also. They are a favorite company of mine. I ordered some ee's this year and they just arrived. They are very nice size and really healthy.
