I soaked some hibiscus seeds a few days ago thinking I was going to sow the seeds yesterday,--plans change! I still didn't get to them today. Should I remove them from the water, and if I don't how long will they be okay?
Help! How long is too long?
Overnight soaking is what is usually recommended. Any longer and you risk rot. If you don't have time to plant, roll the seeds in damp paper towels and place the rolls in a plastic bag until your are ready to pot. You could also let the seeds remainin the paper towels until they start to germinate, then pot.
